We Are Who We Are

We are who we are
We can always be better
If we choose to be.
Life is all about the choices we make
And living with all the consequences
Owning up to all gains and losses
Accepting when things are different
Appreciating even small triumphs.

We ought to give gratitude to God
For His endless Love and Grace
For this far He's brought us
Thankful for life and good health

We must never take for granted what we have
We must cherish the opportunities presented to us
And work hard and smart to make the best of it
For the Glory of the Almighty God and to enlighten humanity.

In this world of negativity and misery
I choose life. I choose compassion
  • I choose emphathy. I choose love.

My Love

The sun shines but you illuminate my heart.
The rain pours but your love flood my life.
The birds chirp but your voice is a sweet melody to my ears.
When I'm with you, it's always dawn even when dusk come.
My Love to you is unquantifiable.
May the Grace of God Cover you  always.

Empty Rhetoric: Politics of Tragedy

It's been all talk but no show
Road side declaration's all they know
Promises like waters of Galana flow
But their delivery are painfully slow

The country is in constant politiking
Politics of tribalism and name calling
Leaders are selfish and condescending
Dishonest,schemming and destroying

Greedy individuals masquareding as leaders
Always scheming  to loot our public coffers
Creating dependant misinformed paupers
Who readily settle for mediocre offers

A time has come for the people to speak
In a united voice for the justice we seek
The only chance we got for us to break
Away and emancipate our sleves

From these conniving political characters
Who only think it's them who matters
Despite being perennial mediocre under performers
We must call out their disgusting characters

The period for political nuisance is over
We cannot allow them to keep on running us over
Yet, you and I are the ultimate voter
We only need uniteto and they'll be game over

Corruption Is Not a Crime Anymore!

It's no longer a crime to be corrupt
But it's a crime to be broke
When all you gotta do is make a deal
Deals that require less input

Working hard is no longer fashionable
As the most diligent have less to show
Due to influx of unscrupulousiness
Where the process no longer works.

We have billionaires with no businesses
Or even patents for products developed
Cartels run each sector of the economy
Where theft is documented and budgeted.

The corrupt are celebrated and praised
Tenderpreneurs are now smart and hardworking
As politicians demean educated youth
That their degrees are useless.

FOR HOW LONG?!!

For How Long?
Shall we suffer in this Kenya?
Shall the youth wait for tomorrow?
Shall we wait for change!
When we are the change.

For how long?
Are we going to tolerate corruption
Are we going to elect bad leaders
Are we going to listen to bigots
When we can lead

For how long?
Before we say enough is enough
Before we pass the message through
Before we make the ultimate decision
Because we can

For how long?
Do we continue complaining in social media
Do we wait before the despots ruin our country
For how long I ask, before we say TUMECHOKA!

Writing A Poem

Why can't i write about that night
I think might because i'm  right
It's not a fight but more of freight
As darkness slowly suck the light

This is a free verse as my thought flow
I think of a rhyme but only get glow
It might be because today i'm low
Things have unfolded really slow

But then, it's not always words rhyme
Sometime you might be out of game
Beause we don't write for the rhyme
But the best way we know to pass time

The burning desire to let out the words
To speak our minds about our worlds
And use our writing as fighting swords
So I'll just write as the thoughts unfolds

Dark Days

The human race has lost the way
A testimony is the moral decay
Bizzare things happening everyday
Manmade calamities are order of day.

Preachers are asking money to pray
Most congregants have become prey
Desparation has led many to pay
Just to have a miracle for that day

Government officials loot taxes
Funds meant to improve the masses
Are misapropriated to the last cents
Economies are now run by bandits
