A BLEEDING COUNTRY

A BLEEDING COUNTRY
Who will stop the bleeding?
All the political bickering
Name calling and shouting
We are tired of the crumbling
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
All the empty promises
As they mock our lack of choices
Is it really lack of choices?
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
Our taxes are embezzled
We remain financially entangled
In poverty we’re circled
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
Our lands are grabbed daily
By politicians of folly
They think we’re silly
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
Our economy is growing, on paper
Nothing seem to work proper
Especially for the common worker
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
Don’t we have votes?
Can’t we have riots?
Aren’t we tired of these idiots?
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
Am I patriotic enough to fight?
Fight for my birth right!
In the open day light?
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
If not me and you, us
We got stop all the fuss
And move forward en masse
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
We’ve got few days left
To seal this unwanted rift
Created by political theft
Change must come

Who will stop the bleeding?
If we don’t vote wisely?
We’ll not accuse none falsely
But blame ourselves fully
                                                             Change must come
