When Trials Come!

Life is the everyday mundane experiences

Wake up,

Bath

Eat

Go to work.

Chat with your family 

Make love to Your wife

Assure your love to your offspring

Check in with your brother/sister

Daily small ordinary activities

So what happens when Trials come?

When your love feels let down?

When you choke from a bad decision?

When you feel you let down your own?

How do you fix all the mess?

It's probably not your fault entirely!

But the buck stops with you.

What do you do?

You turn to your believe system

Seek God's guidance

If you believe in God

Make a conscious decision to change

Forgive...

Forgive yourself first

Forgive everyone else

Even when they've not asked

And even when they don't deserve!

Free your soul

Control your thought

Manage your emotions

Have self control.

Pray for wisdom

Ask for Grace

Live positively

Let go of the past

Start afresh

Learn from your mistakes

Keep on going. Never stop.

Choose to believe

Choose faith

Choose hope.

And live free

Political Stupidity

Everyday I listen to the politicians I'm left speechless

What happens when intellectuals win elections

Especially in this part of the planet-Southern Sahara

Where political utterences leave you questioning your intelligence

We have seen industry captains join politics to become crazy  psychofants

Professors defy their own academic research for whack govt policies

There must be a catalyst for foolishness in the political space

Where common sense is religated to the last option.

Individuals with fine English from the best schools push for wrong agendas

Lawyers and Forney judicial officers pass draconian laws to please political masters

Elected members of parliament compromise their roles for small monies

Gangster Paradise

We are in a bandit economy

Everything now is a commodity

Corruption is an opportunity

We are a fallen community

A disgrace to humanity

Life

 Life is the sum total of our choices

Many a times we ain't ready for the consequences

Life has never been a bed of roses

But rather a mixture of hot spices

It doesn't matter who you are!

Stranger Than Fiction.(Kenya)

 My Kenya never disappoints, every day is a new episode!

More like an episode in a thriller movie!

Sometimes it's horrific! Most times actually...

We listen to the news with great anticipation

Sometimes on the edge of our seats

Like we watching a horror movie.

Anything, and I mean anything can happen.

How unfathomable is it that doctors strike for protective gear!

A governor is impeached by 'his friends' while on retreat! 

With them.

A man eat man society. 

A bandit economy indeed.

Supply of air to government is paid without due diligence!

Who does that?!

A passerby is awarded multi million tender! 

By just walking by! 

Prices of commodities go up despite government subsidies.

Warped thinking and misplaced priorities.

We have an acute shortage of responsible leaders

But plenty of unscrupulous, selfish and individualistic characters

Individuals whose utterences defy all the tenets of morality.

Or do they reflect on the electorate?

Do we the voters fuel their impunity

Due to our lack of unity

Is it political immaturity?

Or just pure lack of responsiblity!

 

We The Fools?

I'm lost of word to express this situation

We as a people are lost in confusion

Some of us I must say, are in delusion

Thinking that politicians will bring salvation

We are fools without any exception

We praise and glorify corruption

As we trample on the constitution

That was meant to bring sanitation

To this great nation

They form a task force even for office decoration

Today it's about CBC education, corruption!

Everyday there's a commission to investigate a commission

Indeed it is a pathetic situation

They plan the economy based on donation

Then call it economic emancipation

This really beats my  imagination

How did we get to this suffocation

We escape to social media for consolation

Tweeting jokes to evade our irritation

Because our real stories are a depressing narration

We would rather dwell in deflection

Change must come in this generation

For the sake of future generation

But we must be ready to step out 

with determination

And fight fort the emancipation

Of our beloved nation.

We must put aside tribal inclination

And build a national foundation

For a deliberate people unification

Towards a free and fair nation

We Must Take A Stand!

 We must stand together or perish as fools.

These crooks are stealing even money for schools

They tender for machines but supply tools

We must take a stand!

For how long shall we stand and watch them loot.

Or the thorn doesn't hurt if it not on my foot!

We have to remove the tree together with the root.

We must take a stand!

If the theft doesn't bother you, you're an accomplice

You secretly wish you could have a slice

You're shall forever remain a disgrace

We must take a stand!

We need a paradigm shift and deliberate action

We must put a stop to this wanton corruption

These looters must be sentenced to eternal damnation

We must take a stand!

The time is now for the masses to take a stand

We mustn't let these criminals lead by command

But together our taxes we must defend

We must take a stand!
